About Stakefield
Stakefield is an independent field guide to crypto staking, built on one rule: the risks come before the rewards, and every number is dated, not promised.
Stakefield exists because most crypto-staking content is built to sell a yield, not to explain a mechanism. It leads with an APY, buries the risks, and nudges you toward whichever product pays the site the most. We wrote this guide to do the reverse: explain how proof-of-stake staking actually works, rank the ways to do it by who controls your keys, and put volatility, lock-ups, slashing, smart-contract and custodial risk in front of any reward.
What we do and do not do
We explain staking and rank methods. We do not predict prices, tell you what coin to buy, or present any yield as guaranteed income. Queries like "what is the best coin to stake for high returns" get reframed here into honest education — how to evaluate a network, what the red flags are, and what you can lose — because turning a dangerous question into a careful answer is the whole point of the site.
How we handle facts
Every rate, rule and date on this site is framed as published and checked on a date, never invented. Reward rates and unbonding periods change, so we date them and tell you to verify the current figure with the network or provider. Where we are uncertain, we say so; where a claim is an approximation, we mark it. If a figure here is wrong or out of date, we want to hear about it.
Independence and how we make money
Some outbound links are affiliate links to mainstream, regulated venues; if you use one we may earn a commission at no cost to you. That never changes our recommendations. The safest method — self-custody staking — pays us nothing, and we recommend it where it is the honest answer. We never link presale, meme, "1000x" or fixed-high-yield schemes, and we never let a payout override the safe, correct call. The full accounting is on our affiliate disclosure page.
Not financial advice
Stakefield is educational. Nothing here is financial, tax, or legal advice, and we are not your adviser. Crypto is volatile, staking carries the risks this site documents, and you can lose money. Only stake what you can afford to lose, do your own research, and if the stakes are meaningful for you, talk to a qualified professional. Questions and corrections go to our contact page.
